Logline
When an insurance company lays off an entire office park, an insurance manager rallies his corporate kickball team to master the technologies that replaced them, transforming their abandoned campus into a thriving, multigenerational, art-filled community.
Synopsis
Heartland Horizons Health automates its Deerfield campus and walks away. The corporate kickball team is out of work. Their parents at Sunset Arms are one fee hike from eviction.
They stop mourning what AI took and inventory what they know. Heartland spent more time routing paperwork than improving health. At a park bench they sketch a leaner company: Human Value Health. If AI can cut expenses, why do we still need the old company?
A deferred triple-net lease puts the campus back in play. Seniors move in. Robots learn to cook, garden, and paint. A value-based care plan starts paying for itself. Ordinary people, amplified by new tools, become the organization.
Personal statement
I want to show people being kind to each other, working together to overcome obstacles with the help of AI. Conflicts are not interpersonal but against ingrained systems that hurt almost everyone who touches them. The excitement comes from having an idea, building something, and making it work—a battle of ideas, efficiency, and innovation.
At its heart, the film celebrates human ingenuity amplified by new tools. It presents a future that is recognizable and achievable—shaped not by fear of what technology might do to us, but by excitement about what we might accomplish with it.
02 Three Threads
Three problems already visible in many suburbs: vacant commercial real estate, rising elder-care costs, and displaced workers with useful expertise.
What can they build
with the tools that replaced them?
They do not set out to redesign society. They need income, a place for their parents, and a use for an empty property. Their practical solution becomes something larger.
Human Value Health
A viable value-based care plan. Timely local information beats bloated claims. Small teams replace giant bureaucracies.
The campus
Glass, beige, and empty parking lots become mixed-use life: housing, a real kitchen, gardens, art.
Health span
Senior care that prevents crises instead of warehousing people for emergencies.
AI flips the economics of coordination. Creativity, entrepreneurship, and cooperation are the heroes—not a war on machines or corporations.
